Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 & Your Responsibilities as a
Duty Holder
These regulations are Law: They are a white
paper and statutory.

The purpose of the regulations is to prevent danger from:
• Electric Shock
• Burns
• Arcing
• Electrical fires & Explosions
In short they are there to maintain a safe working environment.
